Corner Fire Seal is a specialized fire-resistant sealing component designed to protect vulnerable corner joints in fire-rated doors, frames, and partition systems. It ensures that fire, smoke, and hot gases do not penetrate through the corners or edges of door assemblies, maintaining the integrity of the fire barrier during a fire event.

Corner Fire Seals are an essential part of modern fire-door systems, providing both passive fire protection and smoke control to comply with international fire safety standards.

The primary function of a Corner Fire Seal is to seal the junctions at door corners and frame intersections where two intumescent or acoustic seals meet. These points are typically prone to small gaps or movement due to door operation, which could allow fire or smoke to pass through if not properly protected.

When exposed to heat (typically above 180°C), the intumescent material within the seal expands rapidly, filling any gaps and creating a tight, heat-resistant barrier. This expansion helps maintain the fire resistance rating of the complete door assembly.
